Who We Are:
ETC Equine began in 2025 as a collaborative idea when two established programs started working together on individual sales projects. It quickly became clear that combining resources, experience, and perspective would create something stronger than either program alone. In early 2026, that idea officially became ETC Equine.
ETC Equine is jointly owned by Shelly Green of Hidden Creek Ranch Sporthorses and Marni Prater of MTP Performance Horses. Hidden Creek Ranch Sporthorses is conveniently located in East Texas, while MTP Performance Horses operates out of the Texas Panhandle. Although ETC Equine is a newly formed company, both programs are well established with long-standing client bases and many satisfied customers.
Individually, Shelly and Marni each bring over 20 years of multi-discipline equine experience. Having two locations in distinctly different regions of Texas benefits both our program and our clients, allowing for flexibility in viewings, trial rides, and transportation between facilities.
Why the Name ETC Equine?
Trail horses… etc.
Kids’ horses… etc.
Hunter/jumpers… etc.
Eventers… etc.
We are not discipline-specific. Instead, we focus on finding quality horses, identifying the job they are best suited for, and developing or continuing their training with that purpose in mind.
Every horse is thoroughly evaluated prior to being listed. Horses are always up to date on Coggins, vaccinations, and farrier care, and some may have baseline radiographs or a PPE on file. We do not operate as quick flips or traders—our horses are thoughtfully assessed and honestly represented. Listings include detailed descriptions along with extensive photos and videos, and we are always happy to provide additional information or specific media upon request.
Trial rides are welcome at either location, and pre-purchase exams are encouraged. We are well connected to quality shippers and are more than happy to help arrange transport as well!

MTP Performance
Marni is the founder/owner of MTP Performance horses. They breedquality Warmbloods and Sporthorses. They also offer boarding and training services in the North Texas area. Marni has 20+ years of riding experience and has competed through Advanced in Three day eventing!

Hidden Creek Ranch
Shelly is the founder/owner of Hidden Creek Ranch – a small family run ranch in Palestine, TX which focuses on warmblood sporthorses, but also has a small herd of commercial cattle, and raises Catahoula Leopard Hounds. Shelly brings 25+ years of equine experience and knowdlge!
